And now for some thoughts on the rankings:

  • 64 people is a pretty big number. Thanks to everyone who participated! With only 11 staff participating, it's easy for players to fall through the cracks. In the staff ratings, eight players received no votes. In the reader rankings, only two players got no votes.
  • Interestingly, one of the players with no reader votes, Kelly Summers, received votes from both Ary and Adnan in the staff rankings. As Ary would say, #KellySummersForever
  • Looks like we brainwash you all pretty well here, since the top seven on both lists were the same
  • Readers seemed to think the staff were a little too optimistic on Wikstrand (four lower), Lindberg (six), Schneider (five), and Perron (six).
  • The readers voted White five spots higher than the staff did. I wonder if this is because of how much his tires have been pumped in the media since the draft.
  • Shout-out to the person who voted Jared Cowen in all 25 spots (and sadly, your votes didn't count)
Speaking of which, the readers voted both Cowen and Chiasson higher than the staff. So maybe we're a little too quick to dismiss players not meeting expectations./

So there you have it. A big thank you to everyone who took the time to put their voice into this exercise. And as always, thanks for reading!
