Ultimate Sens Twitter Bracket Tournament: Semi-Finals

The Final Four. So close to deciding which tweet is best, but it’s up to you!

The quarter-finals for the Sens Twitter Bracket had two incredibly close matchups, as “Murray glasses” vs. “Daddy Phillips” and “Nailed it” vs. “Lace em up” were both exactly tied with an hour and a half to go before the polls closed.

The readers have decided their four finalists though, as the ties were broken at the last minute.

If for some reason you’ve missed out on the previous three rounds, you can go back and take a look at the original top 32 tweets that began in the tournament. We’re trying to decide on the best tweet from Sens Twitter, and it’s been incredibly hard to narrow it down to just four.

Voting will be closed on Wednesday at 10:00 EST, so get those two votes in!

Here is how the bracket looks as we head into the semi-finals:

Now onto the matchups:

Matchup 1: “Murray glasses” vs. “Lace em up”

“Murray glasses” came in as an underdog, but that’s not to say it is undeserving to be this far in the bracket. People love quality gifs, and Capital Gains has one of the best. It will go up against a heavy favourite with “lace em up” though, as even non-twitter people can appreciate when a Senators player fires back at a fan.

Can Gainsy pull off another upset? Or will Adnan/Marc Methot roll right to the finals?

Who wins?

Murray glasses96
Lace em up87

Matchup 2: “Take a shot for Stone” vs. “Pageauuuu”

I may have underestimated how much Sens fans love to rip on the Leafs. Roman’s tweet about Mark Stone/Auston Matthews has done extremely well in polling, although Sens Chirp’s best tweet has also wiped the floor in every round. I really don’t think you can go wrong with either of these, but it’s up to you to decide which is slightly better.

Who wins?

Take a shot for Stone81
Pageauuuu96

Tell other Senators fans on Twitter to vote! The more votes we get, the better and more representative the final results will be.

Check back on this post on Wednesday night or wait until Thursday for a blog post for the results!
