NHL Draft: The Rest of the Ottawa Senators' 2009 Draft Picks
The final four picks by the Ottawa Senators in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft were:
Fifth Round (146 Overall): LW Jeff Costello - Cedar Rapids (USHL)
...Costello showed he can excel against even the best competition in the USHL with a very successful year. He finished the year tied for 17th in goal scoring in the league with 24 goals--that may not sound impressive, but the only players younger than Costello with more goals were potential first round pick Louis Leblanc, and Stanislav Galiev, who could be a first round pick next year. Costello also developed a reputation as a fan favorite with his very physical style of play.

Sixth Round (160 Overall): LW Corey Cowick - Ottawa (OHL)
34 goals & 60 points in 68 games during the 08/09 season
Seventh Round (190 Overall): LW Brad Peltz - Avon Old Farms (High-CT)
"Hard-working player with good sense ... Didn’t play this year because of an infection. We were thinking about taking him last year ... Going to Yale for four years. Will become a good college player and from there, we hope he can help us down the road." – Senators' chief amateur scout Pierre Dorion.
Seventh Round (191 Overall): D Michael Sdao - Lincoln (USHL)
Sdao, a 6-4 defenseman, comes to Princeton from the Lincoln Stars. He has spent the last two seasons with Lincoln in the USHL and has contributed 10 points in each season from the blueline. A physical defenseman, Sdao has 393 career penalty minutes in two seasons of junior hockey. In those two seasons, he has also helped the Stars to a USHL Western Division title, served as an assistant captain and won the team’s Hardest Worker Award.
