Stanley Cup Playoffs: La Nuit Numéro deux

Greetings Silver Sevens! It is I, Adnan. Once more, you shall have the benefit of an Adnan post today. Three posts by me in one day? An Adnan hat trick! Or...I just kept hitting the posts and didn't score at all. When I am out on the town, I try to pick up girls by bragging of my various blogging skills. It hasn't worked yet, but you never know right?

Tonight's Silver Seven Game of the Night (brought to you by Booster Juice, the official smoothie supplier of Silver Seven Sens), is the big bad Boston Bruins taking on the wee little Montreal Candiens. Alternatively: Ce soir les Canadiens de Montréal vont jouer contre les Bruins de Boston.

The Bruins and the Canadiens have a long history and are probably hockey's second biggest rivalry after the Maple Leafs and Canadiens. Boston and Montreal have played 32 playoff series, with Montreal holding a 24-8 edge. However, Boston has won 6 out of the last 10 series including a 4-0 sweep in 2009 (as a side note, Montreal beat Boston in 18 straight series from 1946-1987). This season, Montreal won the regular season series 4-2.

Also in action tonight are the Binghamton Senators against the Manchester Monarchs in Game 1 of their first round series. You can listen on the Team 1200 if that is where your interest lies. In net for Manchester is Jeff Zatkoff against Binghamton's Barry Brust. From Joy Lindsay, the forward lines are Daugavins-Potulny-Keller, Wick-O'Brien-Condra, Greening-Z. Smith-Butler, Dziurzynski-Bass-Grant while the defensive pairings are Benoit-D. Smith, Kinrade-Schira, Wiercioch-Coulombe. David Hale will not play as he is with his wife in Colorado who recently gave birth.
