Stanley Cup Playoffs, day twenty-three: Canucks versus Predators

There is only game tonight in the playoffs as the Vancouver Canucks attempt to take a 3-1 lead against the Nashville Predators. The game starts at 8:30, but it might be best to skip the first two periods. The Predators put up 11 shots in total in the first periods in game one and accumulated 12 shots by the end of the second period in game three. The Canucks meanwhile, had 10 shots after two periods in game two. Still, the third periods have been pretty good and the last two games have gone to overtime. Needless to say, it will be a huge game for both clubs. A Canucks win will put them in a strong position, up 3-1 heading back to Vancouver. However, if the Predators prevail, the series will be reduced to a best of three.

Also, while Nashville has a pretty decent atmosphere for a southern club, as of the time of my writing, there are still seats available for tonight's game. Hopefully, they do end up selling it out though.

One thing that will be interesting to see is if Henrik Sedin can finally break out. He is pointless in his last four playoff games and has 0 goals and 5 assists with a -6 rating in 10 playoff games so far. The Canucks might be able to get by Nashville without him producing, but they are going to need him badly in the next round.

Anyway, even though I said the first two periods might be boring, come join us anyway!

Tonight's schedule

1) Vancouver Canucks at 5) Nashville Predators (8:30 p.m. on CBC, Vancouver leads 2-1)
