Stanley Cup Playoffs, day thirty: Red Wings versus Sharks in game seven

Well, in a disappointing result, Canada once more blew a third period lead to Russia, losing 2-1. Jason Spezza had put the Canadians ahead, before former Senator prospect Alexei Kaigorodov (remember him!?) equalised for Russia. Ilya Kovalchuk then put the Russians ahead and that was the last goal of the game. Canada did outshoot the Russians 37-20, but Russia managed to score two goals on only four shots in the third. Oh well, those are the breaks! Spezza did have a good tournament though, scoring 4 goals and 3 assists in 7 games, finishing second behind John Tavares in scoring for Canada.

Anyway with that over, we have the Red Wings and Sharks tonight as well the Binghamton Senators against the Charlotte Checkers.

Today's schedule

  • Russia 2, Canada 1. :( :( :( :( :(
  • 3) Detroit Red Wings at 2) San Jose Sharks (9:00 p.m. on TSN, series tied 3-3)
  • 5) Binghamton Senators at 3) Charlotte Checkers. (7:00 p.m. on Team 1200, series tied 0-0)

Can Detroit complete a spectacular come back? Can Dany Heatley do something? Join us to find out. Or else.
