There are two games today in the Stanley Cup playoffs. In the Silver Seven Game of the Night, (brought to you by booster juice, the official smoothie supplier of Adnan) has the Boston Bruins take on the Philadelphia Flyers in game one of their second round series. It was of course in the same round last year that the Bruins blew a 3-0 series lead, including a 3-0 lead in game seven. This season, however, the Bruins came back after losing the first two games on home ice against the Montreal Canadiens in the first round. The Flyers also had a rocky journey into the second round, trailing their series against the Buffalo Sabres 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 and trailing midway through the third period in game six while facing elimination. The Flyers ended up winning game six in overtime before routing the Sabres in game seven.
In the late game, the Nashville Predators attempt to even up their series against the Vancouver Canucks. The Predators were thoroughly outplayed in game one, and would have suffered a heavy loss were it not for goaltender Pekka Rinne.
Finally, the Binghamton Senators, cheered on by a travelling contingent of Ottawa fans, will attempt to take a 3-0 lead in their second round series against the Portland Pirates.
3) Boston Bruins at 2) Philadelphia Flyers (3:00 p.m. on CBC, series tied 0-0)
5) Nashville Predators at 1) Vancouver Canucks (9:00 p.m. on CBC, Vancouver leads 1-0)
3) Binghamton Senators at 1) Portland Pirates (7:00 p.m. on Team 1200, Binghamton leads 2-0)
Come join us for all the action! Who do you think will win tonight? Who do you want to win tonight? I say Boston and Vancouver on both counts.
