With the Stanley Cup final starting up, here's the way our Silver Seven staff are thinking the series will wind up:

Rangers in 6
Why will they win?
Because they have Henrik Lundqvist, a balanced lineup, are a good possession team and because beating Montreal was a hell of a lot easier than beating Chicago was for the Kings.

Biggie. Obviously.

Kings in 6
Why will they win?
Because they are a far superior team.

Why will they win?
Because the Kings have the offensive power to beat Lundqvist (at least a couple times in a game) and the defensive force to stop whatever offense the Rangers come up with.

Why will they win?
Because this is a weird story team and weird story teams can sometimes pick up steam as the playoffs progress. Each series is a new chance to regroup and get stronger. I also think Lundqvist has far outplayed Quick in the playoffs. Don't get me wrong - I HATE the Rangers. Like a pure, white-hot rage style of hate. I want the Kings to win but I just have this suspicion that the Rangers will pull it out.

Neither but I'll take Digital Underground; one of my faves and the rap collective that gave Tupac his start in a song called 'Same Song' (this was also the same group that released the Humpty Dance).

Why will they win?
They have the better forward group and the best defenseman in the series in Drew Doughty.

Why will they win?
Rangers have Lundqvist, Strålman, Hagelin and Zuccarello. Kings have no Scandinavians.

LA will accomplish Melnyk's dream... four 7-game series in one playoff year... talk about extra revenue! The Kings unreal scoring pace will continue, but Quick will have some early struggles. Kings will hang on to win in seven, with Carter taking home the MVP.

Why will they win?
Whoever they put up against Kopitar will get killed - Carter will pick up the scraps. Lundqvist >> Quick and can steal a game, but doubtful he can steal the series if the Kings are as dominant possession wise as they have been.

Kings in 5 very close games. Final score in the series will be something like 13-10.
Why will they win?
Hank will keep the Rags close, but they'll lose the EV shot battle 55-45 on aggregate and maybe as much as 60-40 in L.A. The Kings top end talent, Kopitar and Doughty, are just better than NYR and the Rangers don't have the depth advantage they've had in every other series. Short of quick collapsing in on himself like a black hole (a very real possibility) I just don't see how where the Rangers have an edge. The rangers are good but L.A is a monster and the best team in the league since the acquisition of Gaborik.
Biggie or Tupac?
Tupac, though this debate is eternal and will live on forever. Biggie has more radio hits, but Tupac had arguably bigger cultural impact. Also, Hit 'em Up is perhaps the greatest diss track ever recorded.
