I think it’s fair to say we’re in uncharted territory here. A Capitals-Golden Knights final was not what anyone predicted. Well, almost anyone, but we’ll get to that in a minute. Of the 91 (legit) brackets received, six had the Caps in the Stanley Cup Finals, four had the Knights. One had the Caps winning it all, one had Vegas. So after that miserable reflection on our prognosticating abilities, here’s where we stand after three rounds:
Playoff Bracket Standings
|7||15 Feet of Ice||33|
|11||I still miss hossa!!!||31|
|28||Carson free agent||25|
|69||Fisher's Man Friend||16|
Incredibly, Clara SJ predicted a Vegas/Washington final, with Washington taking it all home. That’s such a terrifyingly accurate prediction, I actually went back to make sure this wasn’t just someone having hacked my computer to rig the competition in their favour. But no, this one was submitted before the deadline, completely legitimately. The only other person whose Cup winner is left is Carson free agent, but they had the Maple Leafs making the final, and there’s no way to make up the difference and take the crown. No, Clara SJ has this one firmly in the bag.
EXCEPT... the rules clearly stated you had to be a member of this blog and sign up with your S7S username. And that user doesn’t exist on this site... yet. So, if you’re reading this as Clara SJ, please sign up, or change your username, or hit up my email or something so we can get you your prize. If you’re not... you may just end up as the runner-up and take home the prize by actually following the rules. So it’s not over yet, though it really should be.
Anyway, who you got winning the Cup?
Who will win the Stanley Cup?
