Silver Nuggets: Silfverberg speaks about his Elitserien season
Many fans were eager to have Jakob Silfverberg come over this season to play in the NHL. Silfverberg decided to stay and it has seemed to be a good decision with him scoring 54 points in 49 games. He was also voted by Hockey Sverige magazine to win the equivalent of the Lady Byng Trophy and was second in voting for their equivalent of the Hart Trophy.

- The Sens told Silfverberg he had a good chance to play in the NHL this season but he simply did not feel he was mentally ready to play at that level.
- While Silfverberg finds it strange that he can't pick which NHL club he plays for, he does say that Ottawa is one of the clubs he likes.
- He is happy to have a lot of Swedes on his NHL team as well.
- He won the Lady Byng Trophy but some say he has a reputation for "filming" which presumably is the translation gone horribly wrong and was meant to be "acting" or "diving".

- Karlsson missed practise again, along with Daniel Alfredsson and Sergei Gonchar. With the playoffs all but assured, should Ottawa try and give Karlsson a rest if he is playing hurt? (Ken Warren)
- Various media types including Bob McKenzie and Greg Wyshynski have Karlsson in their top three for the Norris, but don't think he should win it. The Nashville guy that says Weber deserved to win it last year (which he did) and now he is even better this year...yes let's just completely ignore the competition. (USA Today)
- Nichols makes another case for Karlsson by breaking down the comments in the USA Today article. The most interesting thing Nichols takes from Craig Button's comments is this: Karlsson makes other teams play more cautiously offensively with him on the ice.
