Silver Nuggets: Sens versus Caps

The Ottawa Senators play the Washington Capitals this afternoon at 3:00. After two games against two non-playoff teams, the Senators play the talented but struggling Washington Capitals, losers of three in a row. Here are some Ottawa Senators links for those of you not watching the Patriots massacre the Jets.

  • The Senators still believe they can win. They have actually been pretty good lately on the road, with points in six out of the last seven road games. (Citizen)
  • The prediction panel is gloomy as expected with six predicting a loss, and none predicting a win. (Sens Extra)
  • Game preview against the Capitals (Yahoo and Capitals view from Japers Rink)
  • Mike Brodeur has been recalled to (presumably) backup Brian Elliott this afternoon. May the Lords of Kobol be with us... (Citizen)
  • Wayne Scanlan looks at Bryan Murray's struggles as general manager, including an interesting comment about the mistreatment of Marian Hossa leading to Zdeno Chara walking in free agency. (Citizen)
  • Meanwhile, for those of you politically inclined, a slightly humourous piece comparing the Ottawa Senators and the other Senators in town. (Citizen)
