Silver Nuggets: Most Frustrating Senators

There will always be those players on your team who get under your skin, now it's time to vent about them.

Every team has those players, guys who seemingly have the talent to make an impact but don't. Guys who get the opportunity and ice time and can't consistently deliver when it matters. I'm not talking the frustration and exasperation experienced by fans of Dany Heatley or Alexei Yashin; #15 and #19 were players who excelled on the ice for the Sens but left much to be desired off of it.

I'm talking about those guys who just drive you crazy without providing much upside.

Sometimes its players who just let you down time and again. You didn't expect them to deliver, but it would have been nice if once or twice they didn't let you down during a game.

Sometimes it's not even a player's overall skill set that bothers you; you just feel he's lacking one thing. Maybe he plays a great finesse game, but you wish he played more physical. Maybe he's an elite penalty killer but has hands of stone around the net. Maybe he's sucks in his own end but has a sweet breakout pass. Maybe he can't stop taking stupid penalties. There will always be those players on your team who get under your skin, now it's time to vent about them.

A starting lineup of my most frustrating Senators of all-time would include: Antoine Vermette at centre, Peter Bondra and Nick Foligno on wing, Andrej Meszaros and Brian Lee on defense, and Brian Elliott in net. Undoubtedly talented, these Sens still managed to drive me crazy more often than not.
