Silver Nuggets: Michalek returns; Kuba still injured

Just a handful of pre-game headlines today as we await the puck-drop between the Ottawa Senators and Atlanta Thrashers:

  • Milan Michalek is ready to play tonight. (Sun)
  • But Filip Kuba is still injured. In other news, water is still wet. (Citizen)
  • Brian Elliott will make the start again tonight. (@NHL_Sens)
  • In the prediction panel, James Gordon makes a bold move and picks the Thrashers. It's the kind of risk he needs to take if he's to make up for his 6-8 record. EDIT: Nevermind, it was a typo; Gordon and the rest of the panel is picking Ottawa. (Citizen)
  • Peter Regin is on the right track. (Sun)
  • Despite putting up terrible numbers with Elmira (SP of .857 and GAA of 3.76), Mike Brodeur was recalled to Binghamton. It's not clear what will happen to the three-headed monster of him, Robin Lehner, and Barry Brust. (Press & Sun Bulletin)
