Silver Nuggets: Centurion or Heritage?

With the change to the Reebok jerseys prior to the 2007-2008 season, the Senators introduced the heritage "O" logo as a shoulder patch; it would feature prominently in the team's iconography in the coming years. Next came merchandise with the alternate logo and as its popularity increased, the logo was used on the heritage jersey.

The heritage logo has appealed to a large portion of the fan base, even those who have never taken to the centurion-themed offerings. Yet the original uniform designs still captivate many. The Roman iconography has become as synonymous with the Senators as stripes are to the original team.

Now, the team wears two designs that bear little resemblance to each other. Online pitches illustrate how nice a full set of heritage jerseys look but also illustrate the staying power of the centurion. Should the team continue with both designs? Should the Sens complete the transition to the heritage design and emphasize the city in the team's uniforms? Or should the organization keep the centurion design in all its variety?
