Silver Nuggets: Calder Cup schedule set; More on the draft and Spezza
With the Houston Aeros win last night, they will now face the Binghamton Senators in the Calder Cup Final. Game one will be on Friday night in Houston. In the NHL, the Vancouver Canucks eliminated the San Jose Sharks in five games to advance to the Stanley Cup final. The Canucks will be the first Canadian club to make the final since the 2007 Ottawa Senators. This will also be the first time since I have watched hockey that a Canadian club will be the clear favourite in the final. Leading the way for the Canucks has been Henrik Sedin, with a ridiculous 12 points (all assists) in only 5 games against San Jose.
