Silver Nuggets: Borowiecki, Petersson recalled
The Ottawa Senators have made a couple of recalls in anticipation of their extended upcoming road trip, bringing forward Andre Petersson and defenceman Mark Borowiecki up from the Binghamton Senators. Neither will play tonight against the Maple Leafs, but may make their NHL debuts over the next few games.
The Senators have already had three players make their NHL debuts this season: Mike Hoffman (Dec. 23, 2011), David Rundblad (Oct. 11, 2011), and Mika Zibanejad (Oct. 7, 2011). Last season, no less than eight players made NHL debuts with the Senators: Robin Lehner (Oct. 16, 2010), Jim O`Brien (Dec. 31, 2010), Colin Greening (Feb. 1, 2011), Erik Condra (Feb. 15, 2011), Roman Wick (Feb. 25, 2011), Andre Benoit (Feb. 18, 2011), Patrick Wiercioch (March 22, 2011), and Stephane Da Costa (April 2, 2011).
How many more NHL debuts will Senators fans see this season? Time will tell.
