Shane Prince Scores First (and Second) NHL Goal

Shane Prince scored his first and second NHL goals tonight in Colorado giving the Senators a 1-0, and then 2-0 lead. Prince wired a shot from the boards by the hash marks for his first, with the puck just squeezing through the pads of Semyon Varlamov and trickling across the goal line.

His second goal was less notable but a bit prettier and less fluky. Zack Smith fed the puck to the net, and Prince managed to tap it in through heavy man to man coverage.

Prince was a solid scorer in junior and the AHL - 67 goals in 206 AHL games, and had put up 43 goals in 57 games with the Ottawa 67s in his last season in the OHL. Hopefully this is just the start for him.
