Sens take Joel Daccord with 199th Pick

The Sens selected a goalie with their final pick in the 2015 Draft

With their final pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, the Ottawa Senators selected Joel Daccord from Cushing Academy High School. Selecting a goalie straight out of high school seems like a high risk, high reward gamble. It's the first goalie the Sens have selected in this year's draft and Daccord figures to be a long way from playing professional hockey. He's committed to playing hockey at Arizona State University. At this stage, your guess is as good as mine as to how Daccord turns out. If I had to wager, I might say he'll be OK.
