Senators select Cole Reinhardt 181st overall

The Sens have wrapped up their exciting draft with another big winger

It didn’t seem like it was ever going to happen but the Sens have finally made their final pick. Pierre Dorion and Co. have wrapped up a crucial and possible franchise altering draft with a pick out of the WHL’s Brandon Wheat Kings, Cole Reinhardt. The 6’1” left winger was an alternate Captain last season and had an impressive performance with 55 points (31g, 24a) in 56 games played.

Drafted in the 9th round of the 2015 WHL draft; Reinhardt seems to have worked hard to establish a name for himself with the Brandon Wheat Kings.

The 20-year old is considered a late bloomer but could be a nice surprise for the a 7th round pick. He attended the Colorado Avalanche development camp in 2018 but it seems he was not ready for the next level yet.

Cole Reinhardt’s future with the Sens may be unknown at this point but he could be a nice addition to the Belleville Senators in the near future.

Welcome to the Ottawa Senators, Cole!
