Senators Acquire Alex Burrows in Exchange for Jonathan Dahlen
The Ottawa Senators have traded for Canucks forward Alex Burrows in exchange for Swedish prospect Jonathan Dahlen.
When reporters say Senators general manager Pierre Dorion has been one of the busiest GM’s in the league, they mean it.
First, a report surfaced that Canucks forward Alex Burrows was being dealt to the Senators. Then more details came along stating that Ottawa was ready to give the 35-year-old a two-year extension.

While Burrows is closing in on his 200th career NHL goal (currently at 193), he has recorded 9 on the season along with 11 assists in 55 games.
Dahlen is having an outstanding season over in Sweden. With Timrä IK, he currently has 42 points (24,18) in 44 games and has cemented himself as the team’s best forward.
In other news, it looks like Mike Condon will get the start tonight in Tampa Bay and Chris Neil is out one week with a broken finger.
