Report: Senators sign Corey Locke
TSN's Brent Wallace is reporting that the Ottawa Senators have signed former Ottawa 67's forward Corey Locke to a two-year, two-way deal.
The 26 year-old Locke was a fan-favourite during his three years with the Ottawa 67's, putting up 151 points in 66 games in the 2002-03 season. Last season in the AHL with the Hamilton Bulldogs, Locke put up 85 points in 76 games and was named to the Second All-Star Team.
Locke's two-way contract likely means that he'll spend most of the year in Binghamton, although two 30 goal seasons suggest he may very well be in line for a call-up if the Sens need a scoring punch.
