Preview and Open Thread: Ottawa Senators @ Chicago Blackhawks
The Sens look for their first win of the pre-season against the Blackhawks
After a long break, the Senators are gearing up for their second game against the Blackhawks of this pre-season. Their last match ended up being a 5-2 loss for Ottawa.
The Sens are currently 0-4 in the preseason, with exactly one week left before the start of the regular season.
Puck drop is at 8:30 EDT, and you can watch it on NHLN-US, RDS or TSN5.
Projected Lineup
Disclaimer: nobody has posted the lines or pairings from today’s morning skate, so look at this as a list of all the players who will be taking the ice (which the Sens have also provided) and not as the actual lines. The only thing that has been confirmed is that Condon is the starter.
Tkachuk - Duchene - Stone
Dzingel - Smith - Ryan
McCormick - Tierney - White
Formenton - Chlapik - Boedker
Chabot - Ceci
Borowiecki - Demelo
Lajoie - Jaros
Harpur

Game Notes
- Since they last took the ice, the Sens have assigned 22 players to Belleville (including Logan Brown, Drake Batherson and Rudolfs Balcers), and placed Zack Smith on Waivers
- Chris Wideman is not in Chicago. Christian Wolanin is, but don’t expect him to play unless there’s a last-minute injury.
- McCormick makes his pre-season debut tonight.
- Pyatt and Paajarvi are both out because, according to Boucher, they are integral to the team and he needs to figure out if there are other guys who can fill their roles. Welcome to the 2018-19 season.
- I know this may look like a training camp roster, but this is pretty much the lineup the Sens will ice for the regular season. /
