Preseason Game 3: Montreal Canadiens @ Ottawa Senators

Jason Spezza and Daniel Alfredsson will make their first appearance of the pre-season, against the Montreal Canadiens tonight. The game will be broadcast on Centre Ice which is Rogers channel 456 (if you have digital cable) and Bell channel 435. This is because the main Rogers channel will be showing the...err... Ottawa 67s.

Here are the lines:

Forwards
Nikita Filatov - Jason Spezza - Bobby Butler
Milan Michalek - Stephane Da Costa - Daniel Alfredsson
Mike Hoffman - Zack Smith - Erik Condra
Derek Grant - Jean-Gabriel Pageau - Andre Petersson

Defencemen
Erik Karlsson - Mark Borowiecki
Chris Phillips - Brian Lee
Patrick Wiercioch - Filip Kuba

Goaltenders
Craig Anderson (starter)
Robin Lehner

Here are the things to watch for:

  • The Senators are playing at least five of their top six forwards, and possibly all six if Da Costa makes the club. Will we see a more fluid offensive performance?
  • Can Brian Lee follow up a strong outing against Boston with another one and cement his place for opening night?
  • Andre Petersson will get his first game of the pre-season. He was excellent in the rookie tournament, but how will he play against grown men the Montreal Canadiens?
