Play-off Pool Recap
We reveal the winner!
With the play-offs finally reaching their conclusion when the St. Louis Blues ended their 47 season-long drought, we can now present the winner of the Silver Seven Sens play-off pool.
A reminder of the rules:
- First round — 2 points (+ 1 for correct number of games)
- Division finals — 4 points (+ 2 for correct number of games)
- Conference finals — 6 points (+ 3 for correct number of games)
- Stanley Cup finals — 8 points (+ 4 for correct number of games)
- Note that in all cases, you only get the bonus for the correct number of games IF you also had the correct series winner./
This year’s battle came down to the bitter end, with freshprinceof4thline and Jeffrey Lebowski narrowly edging out JoshuaCanada when the Blues took home the cup in that seventh game. Had the Bruins prevailed, we would be crowning JC the champion. But better yet, since we had a tie at the top we had to go to the tie-breaker. Freshprinceof4thline correctly guessed that Ryan O’Reilly would lead the Stanley Cup finals in scoring, and thus he takes home the much coveted $30 gift card to the NHL store.
Among the writers, Ross A finished with the best score and Colin Cudmore finished with the worst. A lot of us (51 out of 71) had the Lightning winning the whole thing, and, well, you all know how that went.
