Ottawa Senators Top 25 under 25, winter 2013

Following up on the feature we ran last year, the staff at Silver Seven have voted and ranked the top 25 players in the Ottawa Senators organization under the age of 25.

One year ago, we undertook our first Top 25 under 25 series, ranking the top 25 players under the age of 25 in the Ottawa Senators system. Some of them are proven NHLers while most of them are still prospects, but all of them held promise for the franchise.

Since last year, all players have another year of development under their belts, and that's seriously altered the list--as have the many trades made in the last 12 months. With that in mind, the staff at Silver Seven have taken a vote and selected the top 25 as of today, and that series will kick Monday morning.

Before that, though, it makes some sense to review the list from last year for reference. Some players have rocketed up the rankings, some have moved down, and others have pretty much retained their place. You can review the series in this hub, but here's a quick look:

1. Erik Karlsson
2. Kyle Turris
3. Jakob Silfverberg
4. Jared Cowen
5. Mika Zibanejad
6. Robin Lehner
7. Nick Foligno
8. Zack Smith
9. Stephane Da Costa
10. Mark Stone
11. Bobby Butler
12. Stefan Noesen
13. Matt Puempel
14. Shane Prince
15. Andre Petersson

20. Patrick Wiercioch
21. Jean-Gabriel Pageau
22. Nikita Filatov
