Tonight’s Game:
New York Islanders @ Tampa Bay Lightning, Series Tied 3-3, 8pm ET
Tonight we learn who will face off against the Montreal Canadiens (?!) in the Stanley Cup Finals. It would not have been hard, or unexpected, for the Isles to slip away in Game 6 after the thrashing they received in Game 5 but this iteration of the New York team has proven itself to be nothing if not resilient. Meanwhile for Tampa, a win tonight might have to come without their best player as Nikita Kucherov was injured early in the last game and his status for tonight’s affair is unknown as of this writing. Regardless of whether or not he plays, expect this to be a tightly played affair. Hang onto your butts, we’ve got a Game 7!
