An open thread to discuss game one of the Western Conference Final

The Eastern Conference Final started with a bang yesterday, as the New York Rangers hammered the Montreal Canadiens 7-2.

I enjoyed it, I'm not sure Mr. Melnyk did.

This afternoon, the Western Conference Final begins in a rematch of last year's third round match-up. The defending champion Chicago Blackhawks with host the 2012 Stanley Cup champions, the Los Angeles Kings, at the United Center. With Sidney Crosby's 800th early playoff exit, much of the league's attention has shifted to Hawks captain Jonathan Toews. While Chicago looks to be the better team, the Hawks did face unexpected difficulties when dispatching the Minnesota Wild.
