The Dream is Dead: No Outdoor Game on Parliament Hill
The NHL’s bid was “not deemed feasible”
News came down this afternoon from Canadian Heritage that the NHL and Senator’s bid to host an outdoor game on Parliament Hill in 2017 was dead.

This shouldn’t come as a huge surprise - the number of logistical hurdles involved was very large. Hosting a game there was always a long shot, and the process of trying to make it happen seemed to go further than many had expected it would when the idea was first floated last year.
Now we get to find out what “Plan B” is after all. While the Hill would have been the ultimate backdrop, TD Place is showcase worthy itself - if the team is willing to look into it.
