Media Roundup: Bryan Murray and Matt O'Connor Press Conferences

A look at the important details covered by Bryan Murray's press conference this morning.

Bryan Murray spoke to the media on Thursday morning, answering a number of pressing questions. The first, as reported earlier on Silver Seven, is that Dave Cameron has agreed to a two-year extension.

From there, talk quickly switched to the goalie situation. Bruce Garrioch of the Sun reported that the Senators have received calls from seven teams on the goalies, with the majority of the interest being in Robin Lehner. This comes on the heels of knowing that Robin Lehner has been cleared to practise and is symptom-free. Being considerably younger than Craig Anderson, it's unsurprising that a healthy Lehner is generating more buzz.

Murray was consistent with six weeks ago when he said the desired return in a goalie trade was a top-six forward.

Now that the Memorial Cup is over, the Sens are trying to get Tobias Lindberg on an ELC.

It was also revealed by Assistant GM Randy Lee that since Luke Richardson didn't get the Buffalo Sabres gig, he is expected to stay with Binghamton for another year.

The plan is for Matt O'Connor the be the starter in Binghmaton, getting about 60 starts.

Chris Driedger should see limited action in a backup role.

Speaking of Matt O'Connor, he had his first press conference after becoming part of the Senators.

O'Connor also had the money quote of the day:
