- On a similar note, also from The Athletic, is this great read on 20 of the NHL's unwritten rules, ranking them for ridiculousness. For what it's worth, they rated the aforementioned reaction to the empty net goal a 7/10.
- The Philadelphia Flyers haven't had a captain since Claude Giroux departed, until now. Sean Couturier was named the 20th captain in Flyers history. He'll have Travis Konecny and Scott Laughton serve as alternates.
- As the Trade Deadline draws near, the team at TSN are curious what exactly the New Jersey Devils will get up to. Just last season, a very similar roster was one of the best in the league. Are they buyers? Sellers? Somewhere in between?
