Game seven: Ottawa Senators @ Montreal Canadiens
Edit: No changes to the line-up tonight, meaning no Peter Regin.
If Montreal against Ottawa on Hockey Night in Canada wasn't a big enough storyline for you, then there's always Alex Kovalev's return to the Bell Centre, or the Habs trying to end their four-game losing streak, or the Sens trying to extend their one-game winning streak (is that a thing?), or Ottawa fighting to take over first in the Northeast from the Buffalo Sabres. I'm just stoked for the game.
Expect Pascal Leclaire and Carey Price to duke it out in nets.
Darren's Take: The Canadiens are fighting hard to turn things around after losing their home-opener, and the Senators are basking in the sunshine of a triumphant win over Tampa Bay. Hopefully, the Sens aren't resting on their laurels for tonight's game, as the Canadiens have a potent enough offense to make the Senators pay. Jason Spezza has played great so far this season, but he hasn't put up the big points that he is paid millions to do. Hopefully he gets onto the scoresheet tonight, along with linemate Jonathan Cheechoo, who is also struggling to put up points. But, as Peter pointed out, all eyes are on Kovalev tonight, and I expect a great performance from him tonight.
