Game 76: Ottawa Senators @ Atlanta Thrashers

Afternoon game!

These games have a tendency to sneak up on people, so apologies for the late GDT. This afternoon the Senators take their three-game winning streak into Atlanta to take on the plummeting Atlanta Thrashers. Goaltender Craig Anderson is the likely starter, coming off his second shutout in a Senators jersey and with a 0.5GAA in the last two games.

Some players I'll be watching tonight:

  • Erik Karlsson: Has fallen out of first place in scoring, but is just a point behind Jason Spezza; if he has a big game, there should be a few points available today.
  • Tobias Enstrom: It's been a heck of a season for Enstrom so far, and he's already set a career high in points. However, he's on a five-game scoring drought; will he break out of it against Ottawa?
  • Milan Michalek: Looks like he hasn't missed a beat since he's returned from injury, picking up with the speed and drive that he had before sitting out a few games. With the Thrashers' tendency to jump up into plays, Michalek should have opportunities to use his speed to make Atlanta pay.
  • Evander Kane: Just a great kid to watch, and one of the brightest stars on the Thrashers squad.

If you're around, join us here this afternoon to talk about the game as it's going on.
