Game 68: Sens @ Pens
An afternoon game! Sweet! I love afternoon games.
Looking at the standings, there are five playoff spots in the Eastern Conference that are wide open, and the Pittsburgh Penguins are right in the thick of the battle. Seven points separate fourth-place Philadelphia (82 points) from tenth-place Buffalo (75 points), and the Penguins currently sit in sixth with 79 points. They're killing it under new coach Dan Bylsma, with a 9-1-1 record since he replaced Michel Therrien, so this should be a tough game for the Sens.
Of note for the Sens is that C Peter Regin has been sent back to Binghamton, so W Shean Donovan should be back in the lineup tonight. Brian Elliott will get the start.
I'm going to be selective in my memories, and remember the 2007 Eastern Conference Quarter-Final, rather than the 2008 Eastern Conference Quarter-Final:
My favourite part was when the Versus commentator predicted many future battles between Sidney Crosby and Ray Emery. That... may not happen.
