Game 47: Winnipeg Jets @ Ottawa Senators

Tonight marks the last game that the Ottawa Senators will play at home (aside from the all-star game) until 3 February. The opponents for the night are the Winnipeg Hockey Jets. The Jets are currently sitting in 10th place with 45 points, which is 11 points behind Ottawa. The Senators could find themselves atop their division with a regulation Bruins loss. If Ottawa wins and the game finishes a few minutes before Boston, a screenshot of the standings must be taken.

Per Ian Mendes, there are no changes to the lineup. Craig Anderson starts again, Brian Lee is the healthy scratch again.

Colin Greening - Jason Spezza - Milan Michalek
Erik Condra - Kyle Turris - Daniel Alfredsson
Nick Foligno - Zack Smith - Chris Neil
Kaspars Daugavins - Zenon Konopka - Bobby Butler

Filip Kuba - Erik Karlsson
Jared Cowen - Sergei Gonchar
Chris Phillips - Matt Carkner

Craig Anderson (starter)
Alex Auld

More after the jump.

The Jets lines from Arctic Ice Hockey are:

Evander Kane - Bryan Little - Alexander Burmistrov
Andrew Ladd -Nik Antropov - Kyle Wellwood
Tanner Glass -Jim Slater - Chris Thorburn
Eric Fehr - Tim Stapleton - Antti Miettinen

Tobias Enstrom - Ron Hainsey
Mark Stuart - Johnny Oduya
Randy Jones - Mark Flood

Things to look out for tonight:

  • Erik Karlsson nears career high: Erik Karlsson needs one more point to match his total from last year.
  • Craig Anderson starts yet again: Is Anderson going to show any sign of fatigue? The Senators have a big game tomorrow in Toronto.
  • Kaspars Daugavins: While Daugavins hit the post in the last game, he hasn't had a point since 5 December. That's 19 games without a point. With Andre Petersson reportedly called up, Daugavins might be a candidate to be a healthy scratch tomorrow in Toronto. Despite all the penalty kills against the Canadiens, Daugavins played only 5:52.
  • Continue Southeast domination: The Senators are 2-0 against the Jets and 8-2-2 against the NHL's worst division. Another win should be there for taking if Ottawa plays to its potential.
