Game 46 Hub: Ottawa Senators vs Nashville Predators

No matter how many high-danger chances the Sens allow, they can't get the saves they need to win hockey games. Jonathan Quick, a mere couple of days from his expiry date, stopped 9 of 10 high-danger chances. Joonas Korpisalo and Mads Søgaard stopped 7 of 11.

At the very least, maybe that game can serve as a lesson in maturity for captain Brady Tkachuk. Up 2-0, there's no reason to drop the gloves with any opposing player, let alone Connor Mackey, who's spent most of the season in the minors. I could understand if the hit on Tim Stützle was dirty, but it wasn't aside from being somewhat away from the puck.

It's also funny to see this right after we all thought he avoided fighting Arber Xhekaj because he didn't want to sit in the box for five minutes after a scrap against a bad hockey player.

When the captain came out of the penalty box, the Rangers had the lead and momentum. I'd pin this loss mostly on him if it weren't for Korpisalo. Oh, and the dEfeNsIvE sTruCtuRe, I guess. We know they won't get the saves against the Nashville Predators tonight, but maybe if they outshoot them 47-16 or something, they'll lose in a shootout!
