Game 4 Preview and Open Thread: Montréal Victoire @ Ottawa Charge
Can the Charge finish the job tonight?
With Mannon McMahon playing the hero in Game 3, the Ottawa Charge find themselves in a fun and exciting position for tonight's game. After getting a hard-earned split in Montreal, they returned to a roaring Ottawa crowd to continue their good work.
Game 3 was a nail-biter, as both teams decided a goalie duel was more necessary than any offence. However, the Charge prevailed and are now one game away from the second round.
This series has provided all sorts of entertainment, and the two teams are building a rivalry that will last a very long time. As great as the Ottawa Charge have been, the Victoire have a ton of talent and will be playing with the elimination desperation tonight, so it will be interesting to see how the Charge will react knowing how much control they have over the series.
Game Notes
- The Charge have brought back the hockey joy into the city, and as great as the crowds were in Game 3, the fans need to show up tonight and show this team how important they've become to the city.
- Linus Ullmark was at Game 3; it's really important to see the NHL counterparts be a part of the PWHL support, and it's a nice little extra treat for the fans.
- While Marie-Philip Poulin and Laura Stacey are considered national heroes, they've become the main enemies in Ottawa, and deservingly so. While their main threats are their talents but they've also proven that they can be very dirty and will certainly get away with it most times.
- Whatever happens tonight, I think it will be one great hockey game but let's hope it's a Charge win, in regulation.
- The game begins at 7:00 pm EST and can be seen on TSN 1 and 5.
