Game 30 preview: Ottawa Senators @ New York Islanders

The Ottawa Senators will look for their third straight win when they visit the New York Islanders tonight. Ottawa is coming off consecutive victories on the weekend while the Islanders have also won consecutive games in Tampa Bay and Florida.

The only change tonight will be that Ben Bishop will start. Here are the lines from practice:

Here are some notes for tonight:

• The Senators offence has come to life, scoring 20 times in the last six games. Will they continue to do? If so, will the goaltending continue to stay elite?
• Gryba had been switched to play with Phillips on the road games, but returned to play with Methot in the home game against Winnipeg. Will MacLean keep him there or switch him back to Phillips now that he doesn't have last change again?
• After tonight's game, the Senators have only eight road games left and seven of them will be played consecutively in a trip at the start of April.
• With an assist tonight, Sergei Gonchar will tie Filip Kuba's club record for defencemen with eight consecutive games with an assist. Gonchar is currently tied with Erik Karlsson at seven.
• Should the game go to a shootout again, the Islanders have scored on 4/5 shootout attempts and not allowed a goal on four attempts this year. The Islanders were top 10 in both shootout goals percentage and save percentage last season.
• If Ottawa should win in regulation, they will pull nine points ahead of the 10th place Islanders.
