Game 3 Prediction Panel: Montreal Canadiens @ Ottawa Senators

Are you a bad enough dude(tte) to predict a 3-0 start?

Do the staff think the Sens will manage to start the season 3-0?

Do you think the Sens will start 3-0? Remember to put your predictions in the comments to this post by the scheduled start time for it to count as an entry in our prediction contest! You can read the full rules on that here.

Adnan
4-3 Senators
GWG: Erik Karlsson

Ottawa wins 4-3 in the home opener against Montréal. In case you can't tell, I think the Senators will score plenty of goals this season but will once again struggle to keep them out. One or both of Jared Cowen and Mark Borowiecki will be terrible in this game.

Record: 1-1, 1 Point
0 Exact Scores, 0 Game Winning Goals

Ary
4-3 Senators
GWG: Clarke MacArthur

The team will rebound against Montreal, as always. It’ll be a tight game, but MacArthur seems to do well against Price and beats him cleanly on the glove side. We all go wild.

Record: 1-1, 2 Points
1 Exact Score, 0 Game Winning Goals

B_T
5-3 Senators
GWG: Jean-Gabriel Pageau

Sure it's a back-to-back for the Sens but it is for the Habs too. Sens shouldn't have much trouble lighting the lamp, even with Montreal starting Mike Condon.

Record: 1-1, 2 Points
1 Exact Score, 0 Game Winning Goals

Callum
4-3 Senators
GWG: Jean-Gabriel Pageau

What's this? Silver Seven's biggest pessimist is calling for an undefeated first week? You better believe it.

Record: 2-0, 2 Points
0 Exact Scores, 0 Game Winning Goals

Ian
3-2 Senators
GWG: Kyle Turris

Sens will finish off the week with a 3-0-0 record, winning an exciting game over the Habs on a hard Turris wristshot from the left circle with about 8 minutes to go in the third.

Record: 2-0, 4 Points
1 Exact Score, 1 Game Winning Goal

nkb
4-2 Canadiens
GWG: Tomas Plekanec

The Sens don't have much jump on the second of a back-to-back and fall to the Habs behind a stellar performance from Carey Price.

Record: 2-0, 2 Points
0 Exact Scores, 0 Game Winning Goals

Richard
1-0 Canadiens
GWG: Max Pacioretty

Pacioretty scores the game winner in OT after a Pageau goal that should have counted, doesn’t.

Record: 2-0, 2 Points
0 Exact Scores, 0 Game Winning Goals

Ross
5-4 Canadiens
GWG: Brendan Gallagher

One of the lowest-scoring teams with one of the best goalies, so naturally it'll be a slugfest. I think Montreal scrapes away the victory in the first of many meetings on the year.

Record: 2-0, 2 Points
0 Exact Scores, 0 Game Winning Goals

Trevor
5-1 Senators
GWG: Bobby Ryan

I'm thinking they come back to their home fans and light up Carey Price like a Christmas tree once again. They sure do love playing Montreal.

Record: 0-2, 0 Points
0 Exact Scores, 0 Game Winning Goals
