Game 10: Florida Panthers @ Ottawa Senators

Can you believe we are already ten games into the season? Time sure does fly.

The Ottawa Senators are looking to build upon an impressive 5-2 victory over the Phoenix Coyotes with a win over the Florida Panthers tonight, but it won't be easy. The last time the Senators won a game, they came out flat in their next game and were embarrassed 3-0 by the Montreal Canadiens. Hopefully, that's not the case this time around.

Some things to watch for tonight:

  • Can Alex Kovalev follow up his two-goal, three-point performance with another strong showing?
  • Can the Ottawa Senators get the first goal tonight? They are 3-0-0 this season when scoring first.
  • Will Mike Fisher take advantage of his position as top-line centre? In the three past games as Jason Spezza's replacement, he has only a single point -- an assist on Daniel Alfredsson's empty net goal.
  • Can any player on the team get close to Alfredsson's point lead? He currently has twice as many points as the next nearest player -- Alfie has 10, while Spezza and Sergei Gonchar have 5 apiece.
  • Can the 2010-2011 Senators actually win two games in a row?

Be sure to join in on the comments during the game to see the kind of rowdy fan antics that only the cloak of internet anonymity can bring.
