The aftermath
After losing to the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday, any hopes of a miracle run were officially ended as the Sens got eliminated. While the majority of the season’s games have not mattered in terms of points, moving forward they really don’t. At this point, we just hope to see more good games from a young team that has shown a tremendous amount of potential. And maybe some Jacob Bernard-Docker ice time.
The Winnipeg Jets were chasing the Leafs for the first in the division at one point but with the both team going in different directions in terms of winning and losing streaks, the Leafs not only have a safe lead from them but the Jets have also managed to drop below the Edmonton Oilers.

Game Notes
- Since the games officially don’t matter anymore, what’s really stopping DJ Smith from giving JBD a few games to look at?
- For Josh Brown’s ice time to be justified, he need to be useful physically and actually protect the star players as Smith is using that excuse to defend him in the lineup but Tkachuk and Norris have been fighting their own fights and I don’t see Brown really intimidating any opponents.
- Drake Batherson and Connor Brown have been asked to join Team Canada, it’s nice to see them being rewarded for great seasons. Maybe a goal each tonight to celebrate?
- Logan Brown is healthy again, do we get a glimpse of him by the end of the season?
