Hey gang, Brandon here. I hope you’re all finding ways to pass the time, and ease any anxieties that you may have. Further to that, I hope we at Silver Seven have helped in those efforts. I think I speak for all of us when I say that it’s certainly helped us keep moving forward.

I’m glad that the Re-Watch series has been something that’s generated positive feedback from all of you. It was really fun to go back, re-watch those classic games, do cool things like make GIFs for them, and write “real time” recaps. When there’s no actual hockey to watch, you might as well relive some good memories.

So now, I have a question for all of you. We’ve watched a lot of Ottawa’s classic games already, and it seems like the series may be losing some steam in terms of your interest. That’s totally fine, but now I want to turn the microphone over to you, and ask what kind of thing you’d like to see from us going forward.

Some Suggestions:

  • We can continue the Re-Watch series, taking a brief pause on it this week. Sportsnet is going to be airing the 2017 series against the Rangers, so we could always use games from there.
  • We could do a hypothetical “What If’s” series, where we discuss and analyze events that could have been (ex. What if they’d kept Chara over Redden?)
  • I can start up a stream and give you guys some hockey video game content. Whether it’s NHL ‘20 or a text-based sim like Franchise Hockey Manager, we can try to win some Cups for Ottawa.
  • If you folks are looking for more news-related content, we can do a weekly coronavirus news round-up, with an emphasis on the hockey side.

Please, let us know what you’re looking for in the comments section, whether it’s an already listed suggestion or not. We want to gear our content towards what you fine folks want to see during these difficult times, so let us know, and we’ll make it happen.

Let’s hear it!
