Let’s give them a celebration dance of our own

After two very convincing and entertaining wins, the Sens are back to wrap up their 3-game home stand against the Carolina Hurricanes. The talk of the week has been the Sens decision to dress both Duchene and Stone; risking them getting injured before the trade deadline. I don’t see how this is an option at all, considering the message it would send would contradict their constant talks that negotiations are ongoing.

Guy Boucher decided to stick with the winning lineup tonight; which means we will be seeing Anders Nilsson in net again.

Sens projected Lineup:

Dzingel - Duchene - Ryan
Tkachuk - White - Stone
Smith - Pageau - Paajarvi
Balcers - Tierney

Chabot - DeMelo
Lajoie - Ceci
Borowiecki - Jaros
Harpur

Nilsson (starter)
Gustavsson

Game Notes:

  • It seems Craig Anderson is injured again as Gustavsson has been called up from Belleville; will keep an eye out if he actually does get to play a game. Although Andy is expected to join the team on the road trip.
  • Both Mark Stone and Matt Duchene have had 5 points in the past 3 games; look to see them continue their streaks as they await their fate here in Ottawa.
  • Teuvo Teravainen is one point away from 200; so obviously he will score tonight.
  • The Hurricanes lead the league with shots per game, so this should be a fun night for our defense.
