I guess the solid November start for the Sens fooled the "team compete now" fans into starting to believe in this team and it's short term potential. Of course, the "team tank" fans got their "I told you so" towards the end of the month and the godawful 5-game losing streak. Still playing .500 hockey for what was billed a difficult month is still very encouraging.
As a fan who would much prefer to see a competitive team than one that purposely tanks for the potential of a high draft pick, I am hoping the Sens can improve their performance and perhaps reach .500 hockey by the end of the month. This would keep them and the fans motivated for possible playoffs come April, and discourage ideas of trading yet more fan favorites for more potential in picks.
