Anthony Duclair To Represent the Ottawa Senators at the NHL All-Star Game

The Duke keeps on rising

The Duke continues to prove all the doubters wrong and put his mark not just on the Ottawa Senators, but on the league overall. Today, the Ottawa Senators announced that Anthony Duclair was named to the 2020 NHL All-Star Game in St Louis.

While Thomas Chabot is the elite star of the team, Duclair has been impressive from the beginning of the season and has not shown any signs of slowing down. The Duke joined the Senators in a trade for Ryan Dzingel last year with the Columbus Blue Jackets after it became evident that there was no longer any confidence in him with the Jackets. At the time, his coach John Tortorella explicitly said that Anthony Duclair can’t play hockey at the NHL level and the Duke has done a good job proving him wrong since then. It seems the NHL is convinced.

Since joining the Senators, Duclair has played 60 games scoring 29 goals and 16 assists for an impressive 45 points. This season alone, he has 31 points (21 goals, 10 assists). That’s some good hockey if you ask me.

Congratulations to The Duke!
