Should Sens Fans be Worried About the Team Moving?

In our Weekly Question, we ponder the unthinkable

This week’s question is bound to touch a nerve, so I want to start this off by saying, no, I don’t think there’s a reason to panic right now. It wouldn’t appear that the Ottawa Senators are in imminent danger of leaving the nation’s capital. I, personally, don’t think this is anything more than an extremely remote possibility.

But!

But.

When there are less than 10k people at the second game of the season, against the Stanley Cup Champion no less, after less than 16k were in attendance at the home opener; when the path towards a downtown arena seems more fraught than ever; when the NHL team has abandoned struggling Canadian markets before — should we be worried?

Should Sens fans be worried about a potential move?
