Only three months until hockey returns!

The Ottawa Senators have released their pre-season schedule for the 2018-19 season, as they’re set to play six games against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Chicago Blackhawks and Montreal Canadiens.

The first game, which starts on September 18th, will take place in Lucan, Ontario, winners of Kraft Hockeyville 2018. The rest of pre-season will run for the subsequent week and a half, with the regular season firing up shortly after. The full schedule can be found below:

Pre-Season Schedule 2018

Date Home Away Start Time
Date Home Away Start Time
Tuesday, September 18th (Lucan, ON) Toronto Ottawa 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, September 19th Ottawa Toronto 7:30 p.m.
Friday, September 21st Ottawa Chicago 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, September 22nd Montreal Ottawa 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, September 27th Chicago Ottawa 8:30 p.m.
Saturday, September 29th Ottawa Montreal 7:00 p.m.

This will be the first time the Sens face the Blackhawks in pre-season since 1998-99. Last year, the Sens concluded their pre-season with a record of 3-3, winning the first three and losing the trio in the back half.

Waivers will also begin sometime in middle of this time frame, as they open twelve days prior to the start of the regular season.

But until then, the team is in for a busy off-season. The NHL Entry Draft takes place in Dallas this Friday and Saturday, and unrestricted free agency opens on July 1st. With Dorion’s busy off-season ahead, the Sens’ roster could be looking drastically different by the time pre-season rolls around.
