Senators Recall Wolanin

Rookie gets another shot after impressing last season

With defenceman Mark Borowiecki suspended for one game, and injuries to Cody Ceci and Ben Harpur, the Ottawa Senators have recalled Christian Wolanin from their AHL affiliate in Belleville.

The 23 year-old spent 10 games with the big club last year, scoring a goal and adding two assists in what was an impressive first stint in the NHL.

Taken by Ottawa with the 107th overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, the USHL product has had a hot start to the 2018-2019 season. Wolanin has a goal and two assists in seven games.

Don’t be surprised if he suits up tomorrow against the Colorado Avalanche.
