Sterling Predictions: Ottawa Senators Trades

Who will be the first player traded?

Q: Which Senator will be the first to be traded in 2016-17? (As always, "nobody" is a fair answer.)

Trevor: Marc Methot. They might have to lose him in the expansion draft, so they trade him in order to get something of value back.

Ary: Matt Puempel.

Callum: Nobody.

Peter: I'll just go way out there and say Craig Anderson, despite the impending expansion draft making that VERY unlikely.

NKB: Sens management have pretty well locked themselves into this core. I'd be surprised if anyone from the NHL club is traded unless things go shockingly wrong.

Ross: Anyone pick Mika Zibanejad to be the first one traded this summer? Pierre Dorion has shown he isn’t afraid to shake things up to try to win sooner. I’m betting Nick Paul is traded for more immediate help.

Ian: I think Matt Puempel could be the first to go this season. If he fails to seize an opportunity this season, I can see the Sens shipping him out as part of a deadline deal.

Michaela: Dorion & Co. seem pretty happy with the roster they have. I don't see anyone on the trading block, unless things go south early in the season.
