Today, Andre Tourigny was introduced as an assistant coach with the Ottawa Senators. This signing had been rumoured for a little while. Tourigny had recently opted not to return as an assistant coach with the Avalanche. Tourigny had been Cameron's assistant coach on the 2011 Canadian World Junior team. They had both been assistant coach on the 2010 Canadian World Junior team. The tragic passing of Mark Reeds had opened a spot for a new assistant coach with the Senators. When asked about the possibility of joining Cameron, Tourigny refused to comment, saying that he could not discuss until his contract with the Avs was over.

Before joining the Avs in June 2013, Tourigny had been coach and GM of the QMJHL's Rouyn-Noranda Huskies for 11 years, setting a league record for longest-serving coach. He also served as an assistant coach with 2010, 2011, and 2013 Canadian World Junior teams.
