First Impressions from Development Camp

Here are some of my impressions from watching the Development Camp Scrimmage. This is admittedly a very small sample size, as I have never seen some of these guys before.

There was one impressive forward line and that was Paul, Dzingel, and Lindberg. They were about the only ones who generated any offence at all. Most of the game was scrambly back and forth in between the blue lines. There were precious few real scoring chances and most of the shots came from well out.

Nick Paul scored the only goal on a pretty feed from Lindberg who received a pass from Dzingel. I'd have to say that Dzingel was the best player overall.

Our 7th rounder this year Joel Daccord had the most difficult shots to stop and he stopped them all including a penalty shot.

The best dmen were Kevin Tansey and Thomas Chabot who is quite an impressive skater.

And I liked Filip Chlapik.

The two players I'd really like to see in a Sens uniform this year for at least a few games would be Buddy Robinson and Dzingel. The chances of that happening with all the excess forwards we have is minimal.

First impressions I saw was alot of raw potential and very little in the way of finish, and very little in the way of almost-NHL ready players.
